The United States may agree to invest $ 250 million in the development of Ukrainian livestock for four years (2022-2025), the investment project involves the construction of 20 farms with a total livestock of 100 thousand head of cattle, which will increase its industrial livestock in the country at 20%.
The investment plan provides for annual foreign direct investment of $ 250 million for the period 2022-2025, which will be aimed at building 20 farms designed to keep 5,000 head of cattle in each.
The project is part of the Transformation Plan of Ukraine, presented by President Volodymyr Zelensky during a working trip to the United States.
According to the State Statistics Service, as of August 1, the total number of cattle (industrial livestock and animals in households) decreased by 6.4% compared to August 1, 2020 - up to 3.22 million heads (including livestock of cows - by 5.9%, up to 1.66 million heads).
As of that date, the industrial cattle population decreased by 1.2% compared to August 1, 2020 - to 1.013 million heads.
